Lisoda Whole, botanically identified as Cordia Dichotoma, is commonly known as Lisoda, Lasoda, Lasoda Whole Fruit, and Indian Cherry in Ayurvedic and regional traditions. The fully matured dried fruits are collected from the tree, cleaned, and naturally dried, preserving their natural phytochemical and medicinal properties.
In Ayurveda, Lisoda Whole is described with Kashaya (astringent) and Madhura (sweet) rasa, Sheeta virya, and Laghu–Ruksha guna, traditionally associated with balancing Pitta and Kapha doshas. Classical Ayurvedic texts reference Lisoda in digestive support formulations, anti-inflammatory applications, and compound herbal preparations.
Traditionally, Lisoda Whole fruits are processed into Churna, Avaleha, decoctions, and compound formulations, following purification and standard Ayurvedic preparation methods. Ayurvedic literature emphasizes proper drying, accurate dosage, and expert supervision when using this herb.
